Gurung Heritage Trail


This trek offers you the typical lifestyle of the indigenous people from the hilly region of Nepal. “Gurung”  the world famous warriors still serving for the Gurkha British army for the British Government, Singapore government and as well as Indian government.  In this trek you will able to catch up the lifestyle of the Gurkha families as well as the living style of Gurung people. Typical unique culture , gurung cultural shows, different interesting activities such as Ghato Naach a traditional dance, maruni dance, Rodhi (a traditional way of singing in a group gathering together sharing their happiness and sorrows in the ancient time after their work back to home till late night) honey hunting the traditional ways of collecting honey from wild bees hanging on the traditional ropes made themselves in the  local way are the main attraction of this Gurung Heritage trail. In this trek you will be accommodating in typical home stay lodges where you will taste the local pure local taste. With its typical culture also breathtaking natural scenery including different mountains, waterfalls, rhododendron forests, Buddha Himal (6673m), Himalchuli and Mt. Manaslu (8156m), Lamjung Himal, Annapurna ii, Machhapuchre and Annapurna south are wonderful experience in this trek.  “Lamjung Durbar” ancient palace during the shah dynasty is also an exclusive attraction in this trek.


Day 1: Arrival and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu-Beshishahar-Puma Gaon (1670m)

Day 3: Puma Gaon-Ghale Gaon (2016m)

Day 4: Ghale gaon-Bhujung (1500m)

Day 5: Bhujung – Besishahar

Day 6: Explore Lamjung durbar in the morning and then drive to Kathmandu.
